Alaska resident suddenly killed on icy roads during car accident

Alaska is known for its natural beauty, but nature can quickly turn dangerous when it is mixed with human error. Indeed, negligence behind the wheel can prove risky even in mild conditions, but, when the erratic weather that Alaska can sometimes bring is mixed in, the seriousness of a situation can skyrocket. Unfortunately, this was made apparent recently after a woman was killed in a car accident.

Alaska car accident cause by good Samaritan?

Sometime, people do not think about the consequences of their actions or do not handle a stressful situation with reasonable care and end up causing an even bigger problem. When vehicles are involved in an incident of this nature, a simple mistake can turn quickly dangerous or even deadly. Recently, a man apparently trying to prevent a disaster in Alaska is said to have caused a car accident that involved two other cars and injured one person.

Aviation accident kills Alaska state trooper

Sadly, aviation accidents are a common occurrence in Alaska. Since most cities in Alaska are not connected to a major road system, planes are used for routine actions, such as going to the store. Now that hunting season is open, people will be using planes more than ever for hunting trips. Unfortunately, not all planes are made for the harsh Alaskan climates, and therefore, accidents can occur. A man was killed recently in an aviation accident after flying solo during a hunting trip.

Anchorage may be car accident prone according to a recent study

Car accidents occur every day, across the United States, and wherever there is a road there is a chance that a collision may occur. Not all accidents are severe, but many take innocent lives daily. Alaska is not known for its extensive road system, in fact it is known to some as the "Last Frontier" and some cities are not even connected to a major highway, but accidents do happen on Alaskan roads. In fact, according to a recent study, a car accident may be more likely to occur in Anchorage than over half of the other largest cities in the United States.
