Alaska car accident cause by good Samaritan?

Sometime, people do not think about the consequences of their actions or do not handle a stressful situation with reasonable care and end up causing an even bigger problem. When vehicles are involved in an incident of this nature, a simple mistake can turn quickly dangerous or even deadly. Recently, a man apparently trying to prevent a disaster in Alaska is said to have caused a car accident that involved two other cars and injured one person.

On Sept. 3, a man was driving behind a semi-truck at around 6 a.m. when he apparently observed sparks underneath the truck. He then sped up and passed the truck so that he could tell the driver about the hazard. Stopping in front of the truck, he proceeded to get out of his car to tell the truck driver about the dangerous condition.

When the man got out of his car, the truck was struck in the back by a third car. The truck lurched forward and struck the man's car. A passenger in the vehicle that rear-ended the truck suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities did not find any malfunction on the truck to explain the sparks.

The injured passenger will hopefully fully recover from the injuries suffered in the car accident. He will likely have the right to pursue a personal injury claim for reimbursement of monetary damages from any party whose negligence is deemed to have caused or contributed to the crash. If the claim is successfully litigated, any damages awarded could be used to pay any medical bills that accrued, as well as other financial relief permissible under the laws in Alaska. This would allow the victim to heal properly and not worry about any new bills.
