Alaska car accident injures two people

Driving along a highway is drastically different than driving in an urban area. The increased speeds on a highway have the potential to create deadly circumstances when combined with the negligence of drivers. The accidents that occur can be even more catastrophic and can often include multiple cars. Unfortunately, a car accident in Alaska left two people with injuries recently.

The accident happened on Nov. 15 around 4:45 p.m. and included multiple motor vehicles. The accident occurred when a driver attempted to cross the outbound lanes of the highway and was struck by another driver. Two other cars then crashed into the back of the collision. The drivers of the first two vehicles were transported to a nearby hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The accident closed one side of the highway while the traffic on the other side was slowed for almost 45 minutes. The current condition of both drivers who were hospitalized is unknown at this time. Police are still investigating the accident, but it is not known if citations have been issued against anyone as of yet.

Once investigations are complete and the cause of the car accident is found, the Alaska residents who were not the cause may have the right to seek monetary compensation for any damage that was done because of the accident. This could be used to pay for any bills because of their injuries, or any other types of damages that they acquired. Compensation of this type often allows victims of accidents to return to their normal lives as quickly as possible.
