Car accident in Alaska causes another collision

Sometimes accidents can pile up, and one accident can lead to two or more. Whether this is because drivers are paying attention to a passing accident instead of the road, or because the accident causes traffic, negligence is often a cause for other accidents. Unfortunately, one car accident occurred shortly after another recently and ended up injuring one person in Alaska.

The first accident happened when a woman lost control of her vehicle, which flipped and landed upside down in the ditch on the afternoon of Nov. 8. Soon after this accident, an individual in a pickup truck drove by and slowed down, lost control, veered into the opposite lane and struck another truck. All three vehicles were totaled in their respective accidents.

The driver of the second pickup truck was injured in the accident, and the driver of the car that rolled was injured as well. Both people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. The third driver was issued a citation for driver due care in order to avoid a collision for his involvement in the second accident.

The Alaska man who was driving the second pickup truck and was involved in the second car accident may have the right to seek reimbursement for his injuries. Compensation, if awarded, could be used to pay for his hospital bills and other expenses he may receive while he is recuperating. This can help ensure a stress-free recovery period and allow the man to return to his normal life as soon as he has recovered.
