Fiery auto accident claims 2 lives in Alaska national park

Although it is uncommon for vehicles to burst into flames as a result of an auto accident, it does sometimes happen. Not surprisingly, fires of this kind can make it more challenging for Alaska authorities to determine who may have been at fault, as well as why the auto accident occurred. When a fiery wreck takes a life, it becomes even more imperative for the victim's family members to uncover the truth behind the crash, especially if they plan to seek legal recourse.

The loved ones of a recent collision that occurred within Alaska's Denali National Park may be in this position as they await the findings of investigators. All that has been reported thus far is that the vehicles involved -- an SUV and a pickup truck ---- hit head-on. The accident was alerted to dispatchers by a 911 call, presumably from someone who either saw the incident occur or witnessed its aftermath.

After responders arrived on the scene, they found that the road was littered with the burning SUV; the truck was resting along the side of the road and was also on fire. The road was then completely shut down until later that evening while medical personnel examined the drivers and investigators gathered evidence from the accident scene. Both drivers were pronounced dead.

Reports indicate that there were no weather-related conditions that would likely have contributed to the auto accident. This leaves a mystery for state officials well-versed in accident reconstructions to decipher. After the results are brought forward, a clearer understanding of why the vehicles collided will be understood. At this point, one of the victim's family members may wish to file a lawsuit against the estate of the driver believed to have been responsible in order to seek a monetary judgment to cover funeral and other expenses related to the death of their loved one.
