Four people were on board, and all were saved thanks to mayday calls from the pilot alerting the Federal Aviation Administration that the engine of the plane had died en route to its destination. All four were injured in the plane crash and were taken to medical facilities for treatment.
Blame has been placed on the pilot of a commercial aircraft after a plane crash at an Alaska airport two years ago. The National Transportation Safety Board recently released its report, concluding that the first officer raised the landing gear after the plane touched down on the runway.
